4 years U.S. Navy as Captain's Yeoman (E5) aboard USS VANCOUVER LPD-2, serving as part of COMPHIBRON ONE doing service time in Viet Nam as a support action Naval command operative group. 2 years at Art Center College of Design; 4 years at U.S.C.; got involved in prepress production and graphics, worked in Las Vegas for a graphic support company at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Moved from Las Vegas after getting married there on April 04, 2004. Moved to Texas with my Texan woman and am presently living in my home with my 6 chihuahuas (Mom, dad, son, daughter, brother, sister). Am retired (yah, right), driving for Azle School District, loving the outdoors. Weatherford is growing, from a cutting horse town to a nice little place to stop and enjoy the country folk here. This town was also Mary Martin's (Peter Pan) birthplace (mother of Larry Hagman). I think i got spoiled by Texas BBQ. We get our seasons here, no tornadoes thank god.

School Story

Prom night never came out the way it was planned... which it never does anyway. We lost a lot of classmates to Viet Nam. 1966 to 1970 was the worst years of battle in Nam, I know because I saw it. We all learned what brotherhood really meant. It's a shame this generation won't know that. In the military, age didn't matter, one grew up very fast. Our classmates represented the culture of choice and free love. We need love again in this society. We used to trust our comrades in the military under any situation. What happened to society while we were gone?

Great to see you here. When i look back on all our friends, it seems that we have had a decade of losses and gains. I'm glad to have such good memories as young as we were with those we always kept in mind through all that chaos of the 60s and today. Drop by whenever, i would enjoy the times now at knowing we still have time to enjoy everything before the "fat lady sings".

Great to see you again. Hope that Oceanside is still a luxury town to enjoy the beach with. I miss those times... Texas is more trees and grassland.. no ocean or sand. You were always a bright moment in my life. Keep that glow going.

Glad to see you survived going through the service. It was sad seeing many of our friends coming home in body bags.. Thank our lucky stars we've come this far aside from the turmoil that faces our cities now. I moved to Texas.. at least I can carry without any problems. Wishing you a great time for the next reunion. Do much fishing with Brennan? Pretty comfy life there. Catch ya whenever.....

Heyy Zouky... I used to go by Ed Gregori in high school.... Greg in the Navy and now Jim throughout the rest of my life. I had been a part of the Art Guild as well as just being the surfer guy who took to the beach on the weekends. Greg Mellon, Mike Hanson, Duane Bazzel.. we all just sort of hung around. nothing big. I was amazed on how many of our friends never reached our ages...... what's the secret?... hmm... Pretty cool that we have the same birthday, except i am 1948. Being in Texas now puts me a bit farther than a drive away to get to California now... although, i'm in no hurry to visit there... it's realllly changed. I see our class still looks great having been through Viet Nam and all the other society changes that were thrown at us. Drop in anytime... would be good to catch up or just enjoy sharing what's left of our lives. I thought Hilltop was pretty much the best school to have experienced during those times... the teachers were really good to us.

Happy 50th.... I do remember a few times hitting the surf when those times were good. I do remember also that super large skateboard you made out of an old surfboard and tried it going down the hill at your house. We could have made a killling on the market back then. Hope you're in good spirits out there. I'm now in Texas, loving the country, missing the ocean. Keep in touch dude......... Jim (Ed) Gregori 1966
